A play about love in its myriad forms. What starts it? Sustains it? And how do you get it back when it’s gone?
Mongrel Thumb performed at VAULT 2015 with the world premiere of Weird Weather by Matt Cunningham, directed by Will Wrightson.
Alice has locked her door and won’t come out. Vince is tearing up the carpet. Jake’s been out on his own in the rain all night, and Lorraine is trying to hold the whole expanding, exploding, unravelling universe together with a two-for-one deal at Pizza Express.
The rain tastes funny. The traffic’s flowing backwards. The dog has started swearing and all of physics has gone awry.
Tonight, somebody, somewhere, is in love.
